fix htc one overheating issues   fix overheating google play edition samsung galaxy s4 A few weeks ago I have experienced overheating on my Galaxy S4 and I have managed to find the culprit and fix the issue.  This fix can also be applied to the HTC One as it is also an android phone that is known to overheat often. Overheating issues are often caused by apps that are stuck running in background, and the longer they keep the processor running, the more heat that is generated by the processor resulting in a hot phone in your hands. In my case, it was that talking cat app that I installed for my niece.  After she was done using the talking cat app, I noticed that the phone is hot and battery is going down way faster than it normally should.  This kept going on until into the morning in the next day.  My battery life is normally 3 days if i don’t do CPU or graphic intensive tasks.  With the talking cat app running in the background, it went from 100% to 2% from overnight into morning. This is when I decided to download and install Greenify app which let’s me see which apps are stuck running in the background.  The Greenify app found the only app that was running in background was Talking Tom, and so I have hibernated it.  Hibernating an app through Greenify will ensure that it will never run in background ever again after you close. Other remedies you can consider to fix issues, is to wipe system cache or do a complete factory reset. Greenify app   Never should your phone or tablet become slower and battery hungrier after lots of apps installed. With Greenify, your device can run almost as smoothly and lastingly as it did the first day you had it! ROOT is required.
