With more and more phones receiving the Android Marshmallow updates, more people are noticing issues with their android smartphones. Samsung phones are the most popular in the world, and the latest Android Marshmallow makes a big difference on these phones (especially S6 and Note 5).
Just like iOS, every major android system update is bound to bring problems and bugs. Some people reported time update issues, SMS MMS text message issues, but the most common problems people experience is:
- Bad battery life
- Phone heating up
- Apps or services running slow or crashing
- Wifi battery drain
The first thing you can do is to go to Settings > Backup and reset > Network settings reset and this will clear all your connection data. This will also clear Bluetooth, APN Cellular Data and saved Wifi passwords so you will have to configure things again.
Another thing you need to do is to clear cache. To wipe cache, you need to boot into recovery mode (but be careful not to do a complete factory reset as that will erase your photos and everything).
If clearing the cache doesn’t fix issues with Android Marshmallow. Factory reset is advised. All of the high end phones of 2015 and older come with factory reset. Low end phones come with factory resets too.
