OSX tips for new users Here are some great tips for those of you that have been long time Windows users and are switching over to OSX. Spotlight (“Command” + “Space”) will become your new best friend. Learn to use keyboard shortcuts. Apple has a great list of common (and some not so common shortcuts): http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1343 Similar to Windows PC, you should consider keeping brightness dim to increase battery life. This is more of an optimization tip, but running OSX from an SSD will greatly increase speed.  Some Mac laptops like the Air come with SSD.
