Here are the steps to turning auto-correct off on your Droid. droid autocorrectdroid auto correct off On Your Smart-Phone Tap the Menu icon or press your Menu button to get to the main menu. If you have a 4-square button, press that and a small menu will open up.   Tap the Settings icon. It may look like a gear. This will bring you into the list of settings submenus.   Scroll down and tap on Language & Keyboard.   Tap on Keyboard or Multi-touch Keyboard. It could be something similar, depending on which phone you have.   Uncheck Auto-correct errors or whatever is similar in name by tapping on the check-mark. If you want to save some screen real-estate while you’re in this menu, uncheck Show suggestions to remove the word predictions from your texting screen.

  1. Tap the Home button to get back out, or however you want to exit that screen. There isn’t a settings save function. Just unchecking that item will save it.
  2. Enjoy your correction-free texting.
