Here are the steps to turning auto-correct off on your Droid. On Your Smart-Phone Tap the Menu icon or press your Menu button to get to the main menu. If you have a 4-square button, press that and a small menu will open up. Tap the Settings icon. It may look like a gear. This will bring you into the list of settings submenus. Scroll down and tap on Language & Keyboard. Tap on Keyboard or Multi-touch Keyboard. It could be something similar, depending on which phone you have. Uncheck Auto-correct errors or whatever is similar in name by tapping on the check-mark. If you want to save some screen real-estate while you’re in this menu, uncheck Show suggestions to remove the word predictions from your texting screen.
- Tap the Home button to get back out, or however you want to exit that screen. There isn’t a settings save function. Just unchecking that item will save it.
Enjoy your correction-free texting.
