5.0 out of 5 stars Stellar device packed with loads of features! September 24, 2013
This device is very nice because of all the features it comes with! 1080p video recording looks great and gives you the option of either component or HDMI inputs, it can be controlled through their newly released app, and allows for storage directly to a hard drive. I would definitely recommend this to people who are planning on having their gaming setup stationary but not as much to people who are planning on moving theirs around because it’s not nearly as small as their Game Capture Portable. I am a total beginner when it comes to capture cards and this one was the answer to what I was looking for. Not only does this work incredible PC free, the instant upload feature through ethernet connection is innovation at it’s best. The only con that I have noticed so far is that it advertises that it records in 1080p in PC Free mode, yet when I had my XBox set to the display in 1080p I could not get the product to display on my screen. When I lowered the display settings on my XBox to 720p, it finally worked. I was able to adjust it to a better quality in the Avermedia settings and that allowed it to display and record in 1080p, but the recording at that quality is just way too choppy(remember, this is still PC Free mode I speak of). Perhaps there is a firmware update for this, I am unaware. Regardless of that small flaw, this thing will blow your mind. Beginners to the capture card universe, this is the one for you.
