Photo by by Dido© LTE normally goes beyond 23Mbps and up to 75mbps, which means it can actually be faster than both CenturyLink DSL and Comcast or Cable internet depending on the type of plan you have with your home ISP. Speeds as high as these make me wonder, why would a person need such high speeds on their smart-phone? A person can stream Bluray 1080p movies with those kinds of speeds ,but do online streaming services like Netflix etc provide such super high def quality streaming to make good use of all that speed? ATT LTE compared to Sprint 3G AT&T LTE = 28.6 Mbps Sprint (Virgin Mobile) 3G = 0.61Mbps Below is my current 4G speed with just 1 signal bar on my Galaxy S4 T-Mobile. It’s quite impressive and fast but LTE still beats it.
